US EPA’s Indoor airPLUS Program Announces 2017 Indoor airPLUS Leader Award Winners

The U.S. EPA’s Indoor airPLUS Program is pleased to announce the 2017 Leader Award winners. Indoor airPLUS is a voluntary partnership and labeling program that helps new home builders improve the quality of indoor air by requiring construction practices and product specifications that minimize exposure to airborne pollutants and contaminants. This annual award recognizes market leading organizations who promote safer, healthier indoor environments by building and verifying new homes that earn the Indoor airPLUS label. These homes include enhanced indoor air quality protections for their new homebuyers such as moisture control, radon protection, pest prevention, improved HVAC systems, combustion pollutant control, and low-emission building materials.

The nine Leader Award winners were selected from a growing pool of Indoor airPLUS homebuilder and Home Energy Rater partners who actively promote their partnership and commitment to improved indoor air quality. Through the dedication of our industry partners, the program continues to grow, with new homes being constructed and labeled by builders—small, large, and affordable—all across the country.
