The USGS Alaska Science Center is rehoming or disposing of a bottle of 1952 Uranium Ore Standard. Ideally they would like to transfer it to an agency or institution with knowledge of geology and NORM radiation hazards so that it can be used for teaching or research purposes. The sample could also be used for other applications, such as emergency preparedness training. Please let me know if you or a contact might be interested in the sample.
